★ Full E-Commerce Prototype
Wellness brand website · 30 Days · 5 Phases · UX Lead
StarTea is a wellness brand focused on bringing the calming ritual of tea to stressed modern lives. Our team of three designed their complete website experience—from brand strategy through final prototype—in just 30 days.
This project showcases the full UX lifecycle: research informing design, design requiring coordination, and project management keeping everything on track.
We began with user interviews to understand how people discover and purchase wellness products online. Key insights revealed that trust signals and ingredient transparency were major concerns, while the ritual aspect of tea preparation was undervalued by competitors.
I synthesized these findings into three actionable personas that guided all design decisions, ensuring every feature served a real user need.
The design system balanced warmth with professionalism—soft earth tones, generous whitespace, and a type hierarchy that guided users naturally through product information.
Accessibility was built in from the start, not retrofitted. Every color combination was tested for WCAG AA compliance, and we conducted usability testing with 6 participants to validate our navigation and checkout flow.
With three people and 30 days, efficient coordination was essential. I created a phased approach: Discovery, Define, Design, Test, and Deliver—with clear handoffs and parallel workstreams where possible.
Weekly group reviews kept everyone aligned, while I tracked 50+ tasks to ensure nothing fell through the cracks. The structured approach let us hit every milestone with room for iteration.
The final prototype delivered a complete e-commerce experience: homepage, product browsing, detailed product pages, cart, and checkout—all tested and refined based on real user feedback.
This project reinforced that great UX happens at the intersection of research, design, and management. Each discipline informed the others, creating a final product stronger than any single perspective could achieve.
